It's Time!

Kabo & Platón will open in theaters all across Puerto Rico tomorrow. I hope people dig it. I know I dug cutting it. I hope people see beyond the “rap movie” label and give it a chance. I know the hardcore Regaeton fan base will show up, but there’s a story there that everyone can identify with. I feel we gave an honest face to the people in the film. Yes, there is violence and drugs and street themes, but they are there because that is the reality of the world these characters live in. Those things are there as backdrop and not as exploitative center pieces.

Kabo & Platón was my film for eight months. Now it’s out there. It’s not mine anymore. It belongs to the public now.

I hope it is well received.
